Ruru Madrid is limitless, humbled, and focused
From the 14-year-old boy that first captured the hearts of televiewers in the talent search Protégé, Ruru Madrid has come a long way in the entertainment industry as an actor, model, and performer. The homegrown talent remains a loyal Kapuso as he renewed his contract with GMA Network last Friday, October 4.
Ruru expressed his gratitude to GMA for believing in his potential from day one up to now, “I’m very thankful, grabe ‘yung tiwala na binigay sa akin ng Network. From the very start of my career, sila na ‘yung unang naniwala. Bilang ganti sa tiwala na binibigay nila sa akin, every time na may ginagawa akong projects, sobrang pinagbubuti ko.”
The versatile Kapuso actor is thankful to his home network’s genuine trust and support all these years, “Nakikita ko ‘yung alaga at pagmamahal na simula’t sapul nandoon na talaga sila, ipagkakatiwala ko na lang sa Network kung ano pong nakikita nila na mga shows or mga projects for me, tiwala po ako sa kanila.”
In his first six years in showbiz, Ruru already showcased his charm and talent in notable shows such as Let The Love Begin, The Half Sisters, My Destiny, Encantadia, Sherlock Jr., Inday Will Always Love You and TODA One I Love. Last August, he also launched his first-ever single entitled “Nawawala” under GMA Music. He also stars in the upcoming film ‘CaraXJagger’ alongside Jasmine Curtis-Smith.
GMA Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Atty. Felipe L. Gozon eyes a bright future for Ruru’s career, “Talagang tayo ay natutuwa na si Ruru ay ating homegrown na talagang naging magaling na artista. Binibuild-up natin lahat yan, and I think maganda ang future ni Ruru lalo na dito sa atin.”
Meanwhile, GMA Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable is proud of Ruru’s accomplishments in his craft, “We give them projects that will further hone their talents but that’s just part of the whole effort, the rest of the effort is Ruru’s. I have to give that to Ruru, talagang nakita ko from the very beginning that he came out of Protégé, dalawang kaliwang paa yan eh, pero ngayon ang galing na niya sumayaw, he has a single, to showcase that he can sing. Of course, ‘yung husay niya sa pag-arte ay talagang makikita mo na ngayon. Nakakatuwa pag sinusuklian ng artists yung binibigay sa kanila.”
