PH Ambassador Plants Cherry Trees in Nawashiro, Fukushima, Ofunato City, Iwate

Last April 24th and 26th, Philippine Ambassador to Japan Jose C. Laurel V, accompanied by Madame Milagros E. Laurel, Deputy Chief of Mission Eduardo M.R. Meñez, Marissa V. Meñez, Guia P. Dangca and Sakura Princess Amira Joyce Ann P. Dangca, participated in Japan-Philippine Friendship Cherry Blossom Tree Memorial Planting Ceremonies at the Inawashiro Listel Park, Fukushima and the Akasaki Junior High School, Ofunato City, Iwate.

The events were also graced by the presence of Shoji Suzuki, Chairperson of the International Friendship Cherry Blossom Tree Memorial Planting Organizing Committee, Hiro Suzuki, President of the International Friendship Cherry Blossom Tree Memorial Planting Organizing Committee, Sonoko Kudo, Chairperson of the Queen Committee Japan Sakura Foundation, Satoshi Sekiguchi, Chairman of the Tokyo Cherry Blossoms Association, Hiroshi Zengo, Mayor of Inawashiro, Kimiaki Toda, Mayor of Ofunato City and Masako Mori, Member of the House of Councillors of Japan.
