Last June 6, 2021, Philippine Embassy, Tokyo – Author, Maria C. Alarkon Cervantes, a Filipino resident of Japan, handed over to Consul General Charmaine A. Serna-Chua – Minister and Consul General (Consular Section) at her office in the Philippine Embassy in Minato-ku Tokyo, Japan, copies of her initially published book in the United States, Emellie Meets Steeler. The book is a non-fiction and a concrete exemplary work of using the most popular social network site, Facebook, as a cogent avenue in the expression of one’s emotions on various universal ambiences or tone. Its publication as such is unprecedented and it was penned during the last quarter of 2020, while the world grapples with the first year of the coronavirus19 pandemic. Additional information on the book can be found on Google Books. It is due for distribution before the year ends in the Philippines. Alarkon Cervantes is an Associate Professor at Mie University, Tsu City, Japan.
