TOKYO Vaction App Service

■TOKYO Vaction App Service

On November 1st, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government launched the TOKYO Vaction App service, which uses the LINE smartphone app, to further promote vaccinations. The service allows users to register and display their vaccination records.

Those who have completed the registration process can use the app service to show participating businesses, etc., the “registration completed” screen, take advantage of various offers, and enter drawings to receive various rewards. (Entry for drawings through the app will start from November 15th.)

In addition, to reduce the risk of infection when large groups of people dine together at the same table, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government is recommending that certified eating and drinking establishments with the blue sticker ask customers to show proof of vaccination using this app service or other vaccination certificates.

Documentation required for registration:

1 Proof of identity (one of the following)

Japanese drivers license, Residence card, Special permanent resident certificate, Physical disability certificate (booklet or card type), Intellectual disability certificate (booklet or card type), Mental disability certificate (booklet or card type), Health insurance card

2 Proof of vaccination (one of the following)

Certificate of vaccination or Record of vaccination showing that both doses have been received.

*The LINE messaging app is required to use the TOKYO Vaction App service. Please see the links provided below for detailed instructions.
