Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) Response to COVID-19 (No. 128)

Priority Preventative Measures to Stop the Spread of COVID-19

– Duration: Friday, January 21 to Sunday, February 13, 2022

– Area:    All of Tokyo

– Details:   During the implementation period, requests are being made to the people and businesses of Tokyo to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

 

Requests to the people of Tokyo for cooperation

l Refrain from nonessential outings and avoid places and times that are crowded.

l Refrain from nonessential movement to other prefectures.

l Firmly take basic precautions against infection such as avoiding the “three Cs” (closed spaces, crowded places, close range conversation), maintaining social distancing, wearing a mask, and keeping hands clean (frequent hand washing, etc.).

l If you are worried that you may have been infected, please get tested.

l Make use of online meetings and remote work.

Requests to restaurants, etc.

Requests vary depending on whether the establishment is certified or not. Certified establishments (restaurants, bars, etc.) display a blue COVID-19 safety sticker showing that they have passed the inspection for thorough implementation of infection prevention measures (part of the Thorough Inspection Tokyo Support Project).

Response by Tokyo metropolitan facilities

l Metropolitan zoos, gardens, and other metropolitan facilities currently closed will continue to be closed.

l Sports facilities, etc., that are currently operating will close by 9 p.m. (excludes theater and hall performances, etc.)
