Seven Bank Ltd., in Partnership with PLDT Japan

Last November 30, 2017, PLDT Japan and Seven Bank signed a Memorandum of Agreement in bringing convenience to the Filipino Community in Japan by providing access anytime and anywhere with safety and community.

Seven Bank Ltd. is a Japanese bank and a subsidiary of Seven & I Holdings Co., Ltd. (parent company of Seven Eleven Japan). Seven Bank was created out of a growing need for banking convenience. In 2011, Seven Bank and Western Union started the Seven Bank International Money Transfer Service. This year they partnered with BDO to provide remittances through mobile and interestingly most of the remittance transactions where made by Filipinos in Japan.

With PLDT Japan, this partnership aims to provide convenience to the Filipino community in Japan such as Bills Payment, shopping via SmartWorld 247 and sending load to family members back home all within the Seven Bank mobile application. PLDT Japan will also be providing free Wi-Fi and free calls to the Philippines through the Free Bee App in the different branches of Seven Bank across Japan.
