Philippine Honorary Consul in Nagoya Receives DFA Merit Award

Makoto Maeda, Consul ad honorem of the Philippines in Nagoya City, with jurisdiction over Aichi Prefecture, Japan, received from PHL Ambassador to Japan H.E. Jose C. Laurel V the Certificate of Merit and Appreciation given by the Department of Foreign of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in simple ceremonies at the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo on July 7. Maeda was also presented with the Letter of Appreciation also from the Department of Foreign Affairs. The two awards signed by then Acting Secretary of Foreign Affairs Enrique A. Manalo, were given to Maeda, 72 years old, in recognition of his invaluable service as PHL Honorary Consul in Nagoya City for three (3) years from Nov. 2013 to Nov. 2016.
