Philippine Feature at the Japan Foundation Asia Center’s Asian Literature Project “YOMU”

 

Greetings from the Embassy of the Philippines in Japan!

We are pleased to share with you that the Japan Foundation Manila and  ThriveArt Projects Iloilo have launched the Manga “Golden Realms: Inheriting the Panay Sugidanun” under the Japan Foundation Asia Center’s Asian Literature Project “YOMU”.

Golden Realms is a manga adaptation of sections of the Sugidanun by Iloilo artists which can be read in both English and Japanese languages.

In addition to the Manga launched, the Japan Foundation also featured Ms. Eisa Jocson a contemporary choreographer, ballet dancer, and visual artist from the Philippines for its ASIA CENTER CROSSTALK Series: Cultural Journeys Toward Post-Covid-19.
