No New Bidding for North Rail

Senator Angara said the government will have to postpone their plans to rebid the North Rail project until the arbitration (international) proceedings with China are resolved. Right now, he said, the case is still pending and there is no way they can hire another contractor.

The Aquino government is bent on paying only a portion of the loan used in the North Rail project, estimated at about $180 million in the next two years.-(Philstar)
