Philippine Digest and PDRC to Hold Model Search

The Philippine Digest Magazine, the leading Filipino Magazine in Japan and the Philippine Digest Readers Club will be holding the first Filipina modeling contest in Japan on March 18, 2012 at the Nogata Kumin Hall in Nakano-ku, Tokyo.

Called “Search for Modelong Filipina 2012”, the event will showcased 10 pre-selected finalists to vie for the premier prize of becoming the first title holder for the contest.

Among the finalists are: Christine Mariz Lagman, Narumi Fujiyoshi, Naomie Minoru, Maiko Nakagawa, Nicola Charlotte Estrella, Youki Norraine Akimoto, Aya Sekihara, Princess Ayezza Magsalin, Otake Misato, and Miai Tanaka. All contestants are of Filipino lineage.

The modeling contest was conceived to promote the beauty of Filipina women in the modeling stage. PDRC Chairman Marichu Ihara believes that these Filipina beauties have something more to show to the Japanese community. The organizers also aim to provide the contest as a venue for training for the aspiring models and a window for talent scouts.
