Maintain Your Beauty Under The Sun

Summer means outings at the pool or at the beach; it is the best place to cool off and to show off as well. Here are some tips on how to look your best when you hit these places.

1. GET THAT “SUN-KISSED” LOOK

Some people prefer to have white or fair complexion, but when summer time comes most of us want to get those tans and the so called: “sun-kissed” look. You can bask under the sun to get that tan but like they say you can’t get that perfect “no tan lines” look unless you go to a tanning salon or booth. So if you have an upcoming pool or beach party why not hit up the tanning booth. It usually costs only ¥500 to get that perfect tan! Once you get to your party you are already way ahead with your gorgeous tan!

 2. PREP THAT HAIR

Even if you will just be lounging by the pool and not actually diving into the water, prepare your hair for a day in the sun with a moisturizing treatment. Start by wetting your hair. Then, add a small amount of slightly warmed coconut oil to the lower half of your hair. Avoid your roots and scalp. Let the oil soak in for 10 minutes, then shampoo as usual. Coconut oil will soften brassy hair and add shine.

3. MAKEUP THAT WON’T MELT

Your make-up for the pool should be light and simple. Skip the foundation that can clog pores, run and streak if you start sweating. You can instead use an SPF 30 sunscreen. Hydrate and draw attention to your lips with an SPF-infused, tinted lip balm. To amplify your eyes, apply a waterproof mascara and a quick dusting of your favorite eye shadow.

4. SHIMMERING SKIN UNDER THE SUN

Give your legs and whole body a sexy glimmering sheen under the sun with the help of reflective lotion. There are several “shimmering” lotion that are available at the market today. Try to apply the lotion after shaving. Not only will your skin look better, it will stay hydrated throughout the day.

5. SHOW YOUR FEET

So you will be walking in front of strangers, why not put on a good show? Don’t be hiding those feet with shows, show them off barefoot or with a pair of beach sandals. Exfoliate your skin and slough of dry-patches and dead skin with a foot file then put some oil on each foot. Try to add some color to your foot with ail polishes and design. A relaxing foot massage can cost somewhere between ¥2000- ¥3500 for a 15-30 minute massage while nail art of polish is starts at ¥3000 up. Why not splurge this summer and treat yourself to one of these delights!
