Easter Egg Hunt
Updated this April 2019
Early mornings could still be chilly, but in general, as the day goes by, low temperatures start to go higher, which make it more comfortable for us because spring has arrived and summer is just around the corner.
One of the most celebrated events during spring is Easter. Unlike other celebrations, Easter does not fall on a specific date every year as most holidays do. It is very popular among kids as they look forward to seeing bunnies and their favorite Easter egg hunting being celebrated in a very unique way.
Significance of egg during Easter
Egg symbolizes new life or rebirth. For Catholics, the Easter egg symbolizes the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the painted eggs represent Christ’s sufferings on the cross.
In Japan, Easter is like Christmas day in spring. It is celebrated with a family gathering with children being the main participants and the Easter egg being the main star. At home, Easter eggs are hidden in the garden and the children search for them on Easter morning (Egg Hunt).
