DLS-College of Saint Benilde Student Delegates to the National Model UN in Japan Visit the Philippine Embassy

Twenty-five (25) consular and diplomatic affairs students from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) called on Marian Jocelyn R. Tirol-Ignacio (seated in the middle), Charge d’ Affaires, a.i., of the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo on Nov. 17. Accompanied by their adviser Catherine Dee Samaniego (seated 5th from the left), the DLS-CSB students are delegates to the National Model United Nations (NMUN) in Kobe, Japan, on Nov. 20-26.

Tokyo Film Fest Best Actor Paolo Ballesteros Visits Philippine Embassy

Actor Paolo Ballesteros visited the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo Nov. 4 following receipt of his Best Actor Award in his film “Die Beautiful” directed by Juan Robles Lana at the closing ceremonies on Nov. 3 of the 29th Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF). The film also won the Audience Award at TIFF.

Bertiz and a 25-member delegation from the Japan Employment Providers of the Philippines & Consultants’ Association, Inc. (JEPPCA) were in Tokyo on a business trip.

DOE Sec. Cusi Attends LNG Producer-Consumer Conference 2016

In his keynote speech delivered at Session 3 of the Conference entitled “Emerging LNG Markets in Asia,” Secretary Cusi said that the Philippines can take advantage of the oversupply and the relatively low prices of LNG. He called on the international community to forge partnerships to further develop and promote the LNG industry, including in the Philippines.
